Brethren:
It seems like the year has just started and here we are already into March and our second communication. These past two months have been very busy ones with all of our degree work. I am also happy with the amount of opinions and concerns I have heard from a lot of the brethren on things they would like to see done in the lodge. Keep it coming as this lodge belongs to all of us and I welcome ideas. As you can see we are still going to be very busy with degree work in the upcoming months and I encourage all of you to attend the meetings to see the excellent work our line officers are doing.
We have several other upcoming events for the brethren and their families to attend together. Sunday, March 2nd is our church service at the Grand Lodge at 3 PM. Also Saturday, March 22nd is our pancake breakfast at the lodge. Let’s have a good showing and let everyone know how close of a lodge we are and how much fun we have together.
We are currently selling 50/50 tickets with the winner to be drawn at our pancake breakfast. If you would like to purchase a ticket or are interested in selling some, please contact me. We have 1000 tickets to sell at $5.00 a piece, with a hopeful winning pot of $2500.00.
Once again we have added a handicap ramp and chair lift in the lodge to assist brethren that wish to join in the weekly fellowship but cannot due to health reasons. Hopefully as the weather begins to break it will be easier for everyone to make it out. I am also hopeful as the weather breaks we can continue and complete the improvements being done to the front of lodge building, so don’t forget to buy a brick with your name on it to be placed on the front walk. We have several good ideas and I am excited to see the finished product.
Finally brethren, don’t forget to keep our sick brethren, their families, and our service men and women in your prayers. In your spare time try to call or visit one of our sick and shut-in brethren as I am sure they will be happy to hear from a brother.
